The E.H.P. Barnard Prize is looking for new poems on the theme of TRAVEL, for inclusion in a shortlist, and to win three prizes.

Entereed poems must not have been published in print anywhere in the world, or awarded any prize prior to 31 March 2024.

About the judge: Ruth Beddow is a London-based poet originally from the West Midlands. She believes everyone can write and is passionate about making the community more inclusive and accessible. Shortlisted for, amongst others, the Poetry Business New Poet’s Prize and Plough Prize, Ruth delivers workshops at cultural institutions across London, including Morocco Bound Bookshop. Her debut pamphlet ‘The Thought Sits With Me’ is published by Nine Pens.
