Entereed poems must not have been published in print anywhere in the world, or awarded any prize prior to 31 March 2024.

About the judge: Ruth Beddow is a London-based poet originally from the West Midlands. She believes everyone can write and is passionate about making the community more inclusive and accessible. Shortlisted for, amongst others, the Poetry Business New Poet’s Prize and Plough Prize, Ruth delivers workshops at cultural institutions across London, including Morocco Bound Bookshop. Her debut pamphlet ‘The Thought Sits With Me’ is published by Nine Pens.

We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
