Event Details
The Ironclad Short Story Competition is a quarterly short story contest hosted by Ironclad Creative. The Winter 26/27 round uses the prompt word “Glimmer.” It is open to both published and unpublished writers.
Stories can be up to 6,000 words and may be in any genre of prose. Entries must be inspired by the prompt word in some way. Writers can use the word in the body of the story, but they don’t have to. The organiser is looking for exciting voices and stories that are gripping and take the reader somewhere interesting.
The first place writer receives £100 and publication. Prize-winning and shortlisted writers will be published in the Winter 26/27 anthology. A small number of free entries are available for writers in need who live in the UK. These are allocated on a first come, first served basis by emailing the organiser.
Is this event legit?YES! – Based on our research this event is legitimate and the organizer is well established. However, as with any opportunity, please remember to do your own research before submitting your work. Check the organizer’s website and carefully read the terms and conditions!
