What better way to understand life than by breaking in conventions. To be weird is to be something other in a world of the same. It’s a testament to what is important to you and what is worth saying, “screw it,” to. At the end of the day the best artists and authors are all a little weird and that’s why we love them.
This month, I want us to embrace the weird side of ourselves. I want stories and poems about all things different, bizarre, and surreal. I want pieces that make readers both scratch their heads and also maybe not feel like they’re alone.
We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
