Event Details
The Win-Win Writing Competition is a charity writing contest hosted by Chawriteable. It aims to get more people writing, raise money for smaller charities, and spread a love of short stories. The 2026 competition is Chawriteable’s first. It supports Compass Collective, an arts charity for young sanctuary seekers in the UK. All ticket donations go to the charity.
The competition has two categories: flash fiction and short story. Neither category has a minimum length. It is open to published and unpublished writers aged 16 and over, anywhere in the world. Entries must be in English.
First prize in each category is £100. The winning stories will be illustrated by an artist and published on the Chawriteable website. Second prize in each category is £25. A panel of readers shortlists entries before they go to the judges.
