Event Details
F(r)iction’s Fall 2026 contests are run by F(r)iction, an imprint of the Brink Literacy Project, across three categories: Short Story, Poetry, and Flash Fiction. The magazine looks for experimental, nontraditional, boundary-pushing work with distinctive voice and structural innovation, favouring pieces with a clear narrative trajectory or arc over quiet, purely introspective writing.
Short Story entries run 1,001–7,500 words and are judged by Joy Deva Baglio. Poetry entries run up to three pages per poem and are judged by Renia White. Flash Fiction entries run up to 1,000 words and are judged by Wes Blake. Entries may be submitted individually or, for Poetry and Flash Fiction, as a three-poem/three-piece pack. Work must be written in English and is accepted from anywhere in the world.
Winners in each category receive a cash prize and will be considered for publication in F(r)iction.
