The Reedsy Literary Prize is organised by Reedsy, a UK-based marketplace connecting authors with publishing professionals. This new event is a short story award created to recognize fiction of exceptional quality up to 5,000 words.
Entries must be previously unpublished fiction written in English and between 2,000 and 5,000 words. Writers from anywhere in the world may enter, and simultaneous submissions are permitted, provided the story is not published elsewhere before winners are announced.
Prizes:
- 1st place: $1,500 + publication in Reedsy’s literary magazine Prompted + personalised feedback from the guest judge
- 2nd place: A year-long Reedsy Learning membership
- 3rd place: Reedsy Marketplace credit worth $100
