The Orison Prizes in Poetry & Fiction 2026 are organised by Orison Books, a U.S.-based independent publisher of literary fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The prizes aim to recognise exceptional works in short fiction and poetry and provide publication opportunities and cash awards for writers of all experience levels.
Entrants may submit original, previously unpublished short stories or poetry in English. Fiction submissions should be up to 7,500 words, and poetry submissions may include up to 3–5 poems per entry. The competition is international, open to writers worldwide, and judged anonymously by Orison Books editors. Winners may have their work published in Orison Books or its affiliated literary channels, gaining both exposure and professional recognition.
Top prize: $1,000 and potential publication with Orison Books
