The Ghost Story Supernatural Fiction Award is an international English-language competition for short stories of between 1,500 and 10,000 words incorporating a supernatural or magic realism theme or element. The contest winner receives a $1,500 cash award, plus publication on The Ghost Story website.
Two honorable mentions each receive $300 and publication. Stories that win or receive honorable mentions invariably feature both fine writing and a fresh and thought-provoking perspective on the uncanny. The Ghost Story Supernatural Fiction Award has run twice each year since 2015.
