The E. H. P. Barnard Spring Poetry Prize 2025

The E.H.P. Barnard Prize is looking for new poems on the theme of  “Vision” for inclusion in a shortlist, and to win three prizes,

For poems up to 400 words.

Tom Neill is the founder and administrator of the competition. He works throughout the UK as a music composer, actor, writer and theatre director, for companies including Opera North, Alleyne Dance, 101 Outdoor Arts and Blackeyed Theatre. His recent work includes composing music for BAFTA nominated and Grierson Award winning film ‘Mighty Penguins’, writing a new play ‘The Climate Report’, and narrating the revival of Stan Tracey/Dylan Thomas’ ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales: Jazz Suite’.
