Regeneration: Poetry Exploring the Environment is an annual poetry competition organised by Renard Press, an independent London-based publisher. Following previous themed anthologies including New Beginnings, Spectrum, Kinship, Building Bridges, and Interwoven, the 2026 competition invites poets to explore the relationship between people and nature under the broad theme of regeneration — from rewilding and environmental renewal to darker meditations on ravaged landscapes.
Entrants may submit one original, previously unpublished poem of up to 100 lines or 750 words (whichever is lower) on the theme of regeneration and the environment. There is no minimum or maximum age requirement, though entrants under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
The competition is free to enter and open to poets anywhere in the world. All shortlisted poems will be published in a printed anthology, with every shortlisted poet receiving a copy of the book and an invitation to a virtual launch event in November 2026.
The winner receives £200, with a second prize of £100 and additional special mentions at the judges’ discretion.
Is this competition legit?YES! – Based on our research this event is legitimate and the organizer is well established. However, as with any event, please remember to do your own research before submitting your work.
