Octo Books Writing Competition 2026

The Octo Books Writing Competition opens for submissions in February 2026. Whether you’re a confident storyteller or writing your first tale, this is your chance to shine and win fun prizes!

This year’s theme is… Time Travel! Let your imagination fly across centuries and timelines—just remember to keep it child-friendly (no violence, swearing, or scary content).

Who Can Enter? Everyone is welcome! Kids, teens, and adults can all join in.

All genres and story types are accepted—as long as they’re suitable for young readers.

Prizes:

• 1st Place: Book cover, plus two Octo Books services chosen by you! Also you will receive a digital certificate claiming that you are the winner!
• 2nd & 3rd Place: Digital certificate and platform recognition
• Honourable Mentions: A few standout entries will also be showcased

The Octo Books team—including the founder and special guest judges—will personally read every story!
