The César Egido Serrano Foundation is honored to announce the launch of the VIII International Microfiction Contest, once again inviting participants from around the world to share their talent and creativity, with the written word as a bridge for understanding between cultures. Over the past editions, the contest has become an unprecedented literary event, breaking participation records and establishing itself as a meeting point for thousands of authors across all continents.
The submission period is now officially open, and all those who wish to participate may do so in any of the available languages.
Stories may not exceed 100 words. Submitted microstories must be unpublished, original, and the work of the author.
Participation is open to all writers from any country in the world who are over 18 years of age.
A grand prize of € 20,000 will be awarded to the best story, in any of the contest languages. Additionally, three runner-up prizes of € 2,000 each will be awarded to the best stories in each of the other languages admitted to the contest, provided they are not the grand prize winner.
