The Bristol Short Story Prize is organized by the University of Bristol, England. The competition is open to all published and unpublished writers. Entrants must be over 16 years old.
Stories can be on any theme or subject and are welcome in any style including graphic, verse or genre-based (Crime, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Romance, Children’s etc.).
The maximum length of submissions is 4,000 words, there is no minimum length.
All entries must be in English. Entries must not have been previously published.
Prizes
- 1st: £1,500
- 2nd: £500
- 3rd : £250
- Each of the 12 remaining shortlisted writers will receive £50.
- 15 stories will be published in Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology Volume 18.
