Author Gold Short Story Award

The Author Gold Short Story Award is a writing competition created to recognize outstanding independent writers and help increase the visibility of exceptional short fiction.

The award welcomes submissions from writers across all genres, including literary fiction, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, thriller, romance, historical fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and more. Stories are blind judged on originality, storytelling, and overall quality.

Author Gold is an independent publication dedicated to helping writers make informed publishing decisions, connect with readers, and build sustainable author careers through practical, research-based guidance and community initiatives.
