WOW! Winter 2026 Flash Fiction Contest

The WOW! Winter 2026 Flash Fiction Contest is organised by WOW! Women on Writing, an online community and resource hub that supports writers of all genders. This seasonal contest invites original, creative flash fiction that is concise, impactful, and engaging. Winners receive cash prizes, publication on the WOW! Women on Writing site, and exposure within the writing community.

Entries must be original, previously unpublished flash fiction written in English on an open topic. Submissions should be between 200 and 1,000 words (titles not counted). Multiple entries are allowed but must be submitted separately. Each submission will be judged anonymously by experienced writers and editors affiliated with WOW! Women on Writing.

The competition is international, open to writers worldwide regardless of age or gender. Winners are featured on the WOW! Women on Writing website and may also receive interviews and gift codes from partnering stores.

Top prize: $300, online publication, and a gift code
