In a world that too often tests our limits, it’s hope that keeps us moving forward to find light in even the darkest moments. The GWG Literary Prize 2025 invites writers to explore the power of hope and the resilience of the human spirit.
The organizer is looking for candid writing that lays bare the challenges that one can face, and inspires and uplifts with the desire and strength to overcome them, even if one is not successful in the end. Whether through non-fiction essay or memoir, fictional narratives, or poetry, the organizer looks forward to reading your expression and exploration of this global human experience.
CATEGORIES
- Fiction up to 1500 words
- Creative non-fiction up to 1500 words
- Poetry up to 50 lines
The Geneva Writers Group is a home for writers from around the world. Started in 1993 by author Susan Tiberghien, the Geneva Writers’ Group brings together more than 200 English-language writers from some 30 countries. It welcomes this diversity of cultures and its objective is to encourage all forms of creative writing in English and to create a supportive community for both new writers and published authors.
Membership is open to all who wish to develop their writing skills. Support is given to both beginning and published writers. Come join GWG!
We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
