Message Received Short Story Contest

The Elegant Literature Prize is a $3,000 cash award presented monthly by Elegant Literature, a digital magazine, to a new, unpublished writer. The award is part of the organizer’s mission to help new talent launch their writing careers by providing financial support and publication opportunities.

This contest invites you to explore Message Received, whatever that means to you. Fantasy, contemporary, romance, crime. All genres are welcome.

Submissions close August 31st at 11:59 pm EST. Contest only open to new writers.

Who can enter? New or unpublished authors, from anywhere in the world (excluding Quebec, Canada).

Prizes:

• 1st place: $3,000 USD. Free enrolment in the New Novelist Accelerator.
• 2nd – 10th: 10c/word and publication.
• 11th – 35th: $20 USD and an honorable mention in the magazine.

The judges will choose the winner based on creativity, character, structure and flow, quality of writing
