The Betty Award is a well-established international writing competition designed to encourage creativity in young writers aged 8 to 12. Entries are judged on imagination, originality, and writing style, giving children the chance to showcase their storytelling talent in any genre they choose.
Stories can be written on any topic, as long as it is age-appropriate.
Entries must be the original unpublished work of the child entering the contest.
Winners receive cash prizes of $300 (1st place), $200 (2nd place), and $100 (3rd place), and all entrants gain valuable experience in submitting work to a professional-level competition.
