The Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships are administered by Poetry Foundation in the United States. These prestigious fellowships support emerging poets aged 21–31 with significant financial awards to allow them to focus on their craft.
Applicants must submit original, unpublished poetry written in English, typically a collection of 5–10 pages or equivalent.
The competition is international, but open to only to poets aged 21-31 in 2026 who are US citizens or currently reside in the US.
Fellows are chosen by a panel of poets and literary professionals. Winners receive unrestricted grants and may also gain exposure through Poetry Foundation events and publications.
