Noemi Press Book Award

The Noemi Press Book Award is organised by Noemi Press, a U.S.-based independent nonprofit publisher of innovative literature. The annual award recognises excellence in book-length poetry collections and aims to add high-quality work to the publisher’s catalog.

The competition accepts original, unpublished poetry manuscripts written in English. There is no page limit, and the manuscript should adhere to standard manuscript preparation and formatting. All entries are read anonymously by the Noemi Press editorial team. Entrants may submit only one manuscript per year.

The contest is international, open to poets worldwide at any stage of their writing career. Winners are announced in the fall following the submission period. In the past Noemi Press also ran contests for prose and other genres, but the current iteration focuses on poetry.

The top prize for the winning poetry collection is $2,000 USD and publication by Noemi Press, with many finalists also published in the press’s catalog.
