The New Writers 100-Word Writing Competition 2025 welcomes entries of up to 100 words on any theme and from anywhere in the world. Entries can be poems or stories.
The winner will receive £500 (with £200 for second place, £100 for third, and £50 each for fourth to tenth place). The ten winning entries will be published on the New Writers site and in a future New Writers Anthology.
10% of the proceeds from the competition will be donated to charity and split between First Story and The Funzi & Bodo Trust.
