Never Such Innocence International Competition

The Never Such Innocence 2025/2026 International Competition is open for entries until 27th February 2026. The competition is young writers aged between nine and eighteen. Poetry, art and song formats are accepted.

This year’s theme is In Someone Else’s Shoes – Explore different perspectives of war and conflict, imagining what it might feel like to walk in someone else’s shoes.

Entries are divided into the following four age categories: Age 9-11; age 11-14; age 14-16; and age 16-18.

There is no entry fee. Winners are published in a digital booklet, receive an NSI prize pack and are invited to take part in special opportunities. All participants receive a personalised certificate of commendation.

Winners will be notified on, or before, 17th April 2026.
