Inkitt’s Love at First Kick Writing Contest invites you to craft romances where soccer isn’t just the backdrop—it’s the heartbeat of the story. Whether it’s rivals from opposing teams falling in love, teammates realizing their bond runs deeper, or a journalist caught between truth and desire, we want romances that capture the high stakes and high passion of the world’s most popular sport.

Your entry must include Romance as a genre and feature soccer as a central theme

Entry is free. No maximum word limit. Must be original and written in English. Previously completed stories and ongoing stories are allowed.

Winners will be chosen based on popularity and binge-ability. Winners will be announced within 3 weeks of the contest deadline on Inkitt’s Instagram and on the Inkitt Winners Page.
