Gotham Writers is inviting writers ages 13-18 years old to write about a scar. Physical or invisible. This could be a scar you have, or one for a character you make up. You can do this in any form you like: story, song, script, or poem, as long as it’s 250 words or fewer.
Entry is free. Entries must be original and unpublished.
The writer of the most compelling story will receive a $400 Gotham credit, a $50 gift certificate to Bookshop.org, and publication on the Gotham Writers website. Two finalists will each receive a free Gotham class of their choosing and publication on the website.
Is this competition legit?YES! – Based on our research this event is legitimate and the organizer is well established. However, as with any event, please remember to do your own research before submitting your work.
