The prize aims to promote poetry reading from around the world. The spirit of this competition is the participation of writers in terms of equality, regardless of nationality, gender or language.
The competition is open to all writers worldwide.
Full-length manuscripts or collections of poems can be written in any official language of the world. Poems may be on any subject and in any form or style. Manuscripts must be typed and consist of 500 to 800 verses or lines. The collection of poems must not have been published in any form or awarded previously.
Only one work per writer may be submitted. Translation of another author’s work is not eligible.
There is no fee to enter, and there are no hidden costs for the entrants.
The winner receives:
- Translation into another European language.
- Publication of the collection (bilingual edition).
- 50 copies of the book.
- Royalties on the publisher’s edition and subsidiary rights.
We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
