Deepings Literary Festival Short Story Competition

The Deepings Literary Festival Short Story Competition is organised by Deepings Literary Festival in Lincolnshire, England. The competition invites original short stories on the theme “Hidden Treasures,” encouraging writers to explore ideas of discovery, value, secrecy, or overlooked significance in any genre or style.

Entries must be written in English, previously unpublished, and no longer than 2,000 words. The competition is open internationally to writers of all ages and experience levels. Winning and shortlisted stories may be showcased during the festival and published via festival platforms.

Winners will each receive a £30 book token and the opportunity to have their story published in I’d Rather be in Deeping magazine.
