Adventure Writers Competiton

The Adventure Writers Competition (AWC) is an annual international writing contest for action-adventure novels open to both unpublished and published authors whose work (if published) hasn’t exceeded the set distribution limit.

The competition is open to all writers over the age of 18 as of the close of that year’s submission deadline. Incomplete novels or works-in-progress are not eligible. All entries (synopsis if required and full-length novel) must be in English.

Every entry is read by a panel of judges dedicated to adventure fiction, and finalists often get exposure at the Clive Cussler Collector’s Society convention and on the AWC website.

• $1000 to the Winner of the competition, $500 to each of the 2 runners-up!
• All Finalists receive a trophy, the winner receives a “Grandmaster Winner” trophy.
• Finalists receive a video book trailer and interview by the AWC that will be posted on the AWC website and allowed to use that video file for marketing.
• Semi-finalists, finalists, and the winner receive and retain the right to use the AWC badge proclaiming their accomplishment (in PNG high resolution).
