DDE LYON WORLD is dedicated to nurturing and showcasing literary talent across the globe. Their competitions have become a space for writers to share unique perspectives, explore bold ideas, and express deep emotions. The organizer is excited to announce the fourth annual writing competition with the theme “Untold Stories”.

This year’s competition challenges poets to dive deep into these hidden narratives. Whether personal or imagined, every story deserves to be told, no matter how small or grand. Through your poem, give voice to the unheard, the overlooked, or the forgotten.

The story and poem must align with the theme “Untold Stories.” The work must be original and unpublished. Writers must submit both a short story- USE FIRST OR THIRD PERSON POV (1,000 – 2,500 words) and a poem (up to 40 lines) inspired by the story.

The competition is open to writers from all backgrounds and regions. Submissions must be in English.

The winner will be invited to join DE LYON WORLD’s Board of Writers, gaining exposure and influence within the literary community. They will also receive a Certificate of Recognition as a testament to their outstanding contribution.

We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
