Description

Waymark Literary Magazine is an undergraduate magazine dedicated to telling student stories. The are based out of Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. The magazine publishes short fiction, narrative nonfiction, poetry, and art from college students across North America, while also hosting regular events for our KSU community. In addition to publishing student work, they regularly release book reviews and plans to start a new podcast, Waymark: Unbound.

Waymark seeks to mark the lives of readers and writers alike through a commitment to publishing fiction, literary nonfiction, poetry, and art of the spirit and heart. The publication is run by undergraduate students and welcomes online submissions from any undergraduate artist in North America and any affiliated territories. The magazine especially encourages writers from minority communities to submit their works, as well as first generation college students.

Waymark refuses to publish any work that glorifies violence, promotes hate speech to any community, depicts situations of sexual assault and harassment, violates existing intellectual property laws, and prioritizes graphic or explicit details over story.

Waymark is dedicated to serving the collegiate community with events that promote community and growth.
