The Ink of Ages Fiction Prize is an international short story contest organized by World History Encyclopedia and sponsored by Oxford University Press. If you write historical or mythology-inspired short fiction, and are 18 years old or above, you can enter a story of between 1,500 and 2,000 words.
The contest is free to enter and accepts submissions in English from anywhere in the world. Winners receive a range of prizes including online publication and promotion to our 7 million monthly readers around the globe.
World History Encyclopedia (WHE) is a non-profit organization publishing the world’s most-read history encyclopedia. Their mission is to engage people with cultural heritage and to improve history education worldwide.
We are keen to encourage quality, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
