The Connecticut Poetry Society (CPS), an affiliate of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of poetry.
CPS publishes Connecticut River Review, a national journal of poetry, and encourages all poets in writing and publishing their poetry. The group has a long tradition of excellence in publishing the work of poets from Connecticut and around the nation. Connecticut River Review currently offers four major contests each year, monthly open microphone events, and educational discussions of poetry through their Poets on Poetry series.
