The competition is organized by Rattle, an American poetry magazine. Rattle is a publication of the Rattle Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the practice of poetry, and is not affiliated with any other organization.

The competition is open to anyone.

You may submit up to four poems per entry. Poems may be any length, any style, or any subject.

Poems must be written in English (no translations except by the original author).

Entries must not have been previously published.
