Event Details

Since 2014, Permafrost Magazine has held an Annual Book Prize contest for the best manuscript (genre alternating each year). The 2023 Permafrost Book Prize in poetry is now accepting submissions from all writers, including non-US citizens, writing in English.

The winner will receive $1000 and publication through the University of Alaska Press.

Winners are expected to be announced in July.

This year the competition is being judged by Aimee Nezhukumatathil.
