Lighthearted writing podcast, The Failing Writers, (described as “weirdly endearing” by The Guardian) is hosting their 3rd annual flash fiction competition!
It’s free to enter and the prize money is a whoppin’ £500. It’s also a 500 word limit, so that’s at least a blummin pound a word!
Aptly for the hosts of the show, this year’s competition is on the subject of ‘failing’. Entrants just need to listen Episode 14 of Series 3, out on Monday 4th September, and all the details will be posted on our blog on the same day.
We are keen to encourage quality submissions, so suggest writers to check their stories before submitting using Prowritingaid. They have free and paid versions and are the best writing software we know to help improve grammar, readability and check for repetition, ‘sticky’ sentences and suggest alternatives.
