Event Details

The 2020 Charles Causley International Poetry Competition is now open for entries! We’re really excited to announce that this year’s competition will be judged by Lemn Sissay. Enter online by following the links below or, if you prefer, you can still enter by post. Please make sure that you read the Rules of Entry carefully before entering.

The closing date for the competition is midnight on Monday 30th November 2020 and the winners will be announced in the Spring.

  • The 1st prize winner will receive £2,000 plus a one week writing residency at Cyprus Well, Charles Causley’s former home in Launceston.
  • The 2nd prize winner will receive £250 and the third prize winner will receive £100.
  • Five Highly Commended poets whose work shows particular promise will each receive £30.
