Periscope Literary Short Story Competition

A mirror can be many things: a portal to the self, a friend who shows you what you don’t want to see, a foe who distracts you from what matters. It could be an entrance frame, an exit frame, seven years of bad luck, a death sentence. Then again, a mirror might just be for checking who’s behind you and what their intentions are. You decide, mostly.

We’d like to read stories about mirrors and will be awarding a winner and two honourable mentions for the best of them. Entries should be original fiction up to 1000 words in length inspired by our theme. All genres and approaches considered. Deadline for entry is the 25th of March 2023.
