To promote understanding and appreciation of Korean history and culture, KSCPP (Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project) is hosting its first National Essay Contest in the United Kingdom. The Essay Contest is open to students in two groups: Group A (Years 6 - 9) and Group B (Years 10-13). The entrants are required to read Chung Hyo Ye, Tales of Filial Devotion, Loyalty Respect and Benevolence from the history and folklore of Korea, published by KSCPP and available for free from this link (https://tinyurl.com/2njefj5w) or www.kscpp.net (project website). The brief: Choose from one of two topics based on the book ‘Chung Hyo Ye’, which can be downloaded for free here. Categories: Junior (Years 6-9) and Senior (Years 10-13) Prize details: There will be three winners in each section: 1st prize (£500), 2nd prize (£200), 3rd prize (£100). Honorable mentions (£50) may also be awarded at the panel’s discretion. Closing date: January 2nd, 2022 Entry fee: Free entry.
