Event Details

The 2022 Frome Festival Short Story Competition is now open and entrants have until 31st May to send their stories. For a third year, we will no doubt be affected by Covid 19, but we do hope to hold a prize-giving during Frome Festival in early July; details will be confirmed later. Once again, we look forward to all your entries, without which there would be no competition! Please note that Frome Library has reopened and is accepting postal entries as usual.

The competition is open to entrants of any nationality and from any location, writing in English. There is no minimum age for entrants, but younger entrants are advised that age is not taken into consideration.

Stories can be on any theme and in any style, but must be written in English and be between 1000 and 2200 words in length (not including the title). Stories which fall outside this word length will be disqualified.
